"Bug" List

  1. The times for the RTS buses when they’re suppose to come, some times it is not accurate. This maybe because there is traffic and the times may change.

2. The Shands emergency room wait time was 11 hours one time and there weren’t that many people helping the sick patients. This is because that night they got 5 helicopters from different counties.

3. The UF parking is really bad, there isn’t enough parking spots for all the students. Also UF sales more parking decals than then parking spots they have. Since it is a huge campus people need cars, but the only parking spaces are far away.

4. The infirmary closes way to early (at five) and sometimes when you’re really sick and you go to get help they won’t accept you unless you have an appointment. Maybe this is because that is their protocol and it helps them regulate job hours for the workers. 

5. One of the things about living on campus that is really annoying are the fire drills. It is understandable that they need it for practice and to know what should and should not happen during an actual fire. But for the student when they are working or sick it is very annoying. 

6. When you wan to warm up your food in Turlington, but you can’t because there is a huge line and you get late to class. This maybe because everyone brings food to eat throughout the day. 

7. Some places around Gainesville are under construction and sometimes they start constructing really early in the morning and it wakes everyone up. This happens because they need to finish their work, but it is annoying for the rest of the people trying to sleep.

8. When you’re in a meeting or in class and people are chewing gum really loud with their mouth open. This may happen because people are use to chewing like that and they don’t mind the noise, but other people around them might get annoyed.

9. When you’re in the library trying to do homework or study and then there is that one person who calls their their family and they speak really loud. Or even when they speak amongst other people and they are just really loud. This happens maybe cause they are just loud speakers/talkers.

10. When you’re in class and then someone’s computer makes a lot of noises. This happens because that person needs to fix the computer and may not have time or money to do that. 

11. Some times when they give you coffee and the coffee sliders are really loose and they slide down and you end up burning yourself. This happens maybe because the company may not have the exact measurements in order to make sure the sliders won’t slide down.

12. When you have used your phone charger so much that the one end breaks and it stops functioning. This happens cause some times we don’t notice how badly we use or charger and we mistreat them.

13. When your water bottle leaks and all your water is mostly gone. This happens because we may throw around water bottles and also mistreat them and they may easily break and we don’t notice. This also happens when the company doesn’t necessarily produce the product correctly and when you may think the water bottle is closed it is actually leaking water. 

14. When you wear glasses so much and they start to hurt you behind your ears. This happens because sometimes glasses might be too tight at the end because they are made in oder for them not to fall. 

15. When you sit down and your belt is too tight. This happens because when you stand up your belt is normally shaped to what you put, but when you sit down it might be way different to when you were standing up. 

16. When someone gives you a cup of cold water and the cup sweats and then it makes rings on the table. This happens cause you don’t necessarily put a coaster so the water doesn’t mark the table. 

17. When you need to charge your laptop or phone and the outlets don’t work. This may happen because the electricity doesn’t work. 

18. When you’re using your umbrella and the wind turns your umbrella the other way. This happens because the umbrella is probably not strong to support the wind. 

19. When it rains and you get out of the car and you step in a puddle. This may happen, because there is an incline or a whole in the street.

20. When Starbucks misspells your name. This may happen because people that work there may not necessarily hear correctly.

It was difficult at the beginning, because I couldn't come up with anything. I took the whole week to think about it and I kept writing down notes throughout the day. People tend to get annoyed easily and sometimes we complain too much, but when it is time to write down what actually “bugs” us at the moment we don’t come up with anything.
